Benjamin Nadolsky is a Yale senior from Knoxville, Tennessee, majoring in global affairs and history. Ben has spent his time at Yale involved in a variety of activities, with a primary focus on disability rights and advocacy. He currently serves on the City of New Haven Commission on Disabilities, and previously chaired the Yale College Council task force on disability resources. In 2016, Ben founded the first Yale undergraduate organization for students with disabilities — Disability Empowerment for Yale — and is currently working with students on other campuses to expand the reach of this project. His efforts help overcome preconceived notions about people with disabilities and lead to a more inclusive campus environment at Yale and other schools. Ben’s other interests include the rise of demagogic populism, extremism, social and economic development, environmental sustainability, and the development and implementation of appropriate policy responses to these problems in both local and global contexts.
