Luke Graydon Johnson is graduating with a master’s degree in Global Affairs. Raised in the Boston area, he graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 2009 with a BA in government. Employed by outlets such as The Huffington Post, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, and the Washington Independent, he worked as a journalist following his undergraduate education. Some subjects he covered as a reporter included U.S. politics, Congress, Russia, and Eastern Europe. In graduate school, he studied democracy and how to save it (a work in progress!), national security and the rule of law, and populism in Eastern Europe. He served as the managing editor for articles for the Yale Journal of International Affairs and worked as a teaching fellow for Global Affairs courses. After Yale, Luke plans to return to journalism or work for a think tank.
