Melanie Harris is a Program Examiner, National Security Division, for the White House Office of Management and Budget. 

While at Yale, Melanie focused on security studies and U.S. foreign policy toward the Middle East, in particular Iran. She spent a summer as a research assistant to Leslie Gelb at the Council on Foreign Relations. Before coming to Yale, Melanie worked on domestic education policy before transitioning to a career in international affairs as Northeast Regional Director for J Street, which focuses on securing a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Melanie holds an MA in Global Affairs from Yale University and a BA in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis.
