Sara Silverstein is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Yale Jackson Institute for Global Affairs. Her work focuses on the history of international social policy, refugees and migrants, and human rights. Her current book project is titled Doctors as Diplomats: The Origins of Universal Healthcare in International Society.
Silverstein received her Ph.D. in history from Yale in 2016, her M.Phil. from Oxford University in 2009, and her A.B. summa cum laude from Dartmouth College in 2007.
In 2018, she will take up a position as Assistant Professor of History and Human Rights at the University of Connecticut.
