Each fall, the Global Health Studies program admits a cohort of Global Health Scholars who fulfill the program requirements and are awarded an official designation on their transcripts upon successful completion of the program.
Students typically apply to be a Global Health Scholar in the fall of their sophomore year. On occasion, juniors with compelling interest in the GHS program may be considered for admittance. Second-semester sophomores and second-semester first-years who have taken a leave of absence may also apply this fall.
Students of all majors and interests are encouraged to apply; no former global health experience or coursework is required. We are interested in learning about why you are interested in global health and what led you to apply to this program.
All students with an interest in global health, including those not formally admitted into the program as a Global Health Scholar, have the ability and are encouraged to pursue coursework and activities in global health studies.
