Robert Dubrow
Professor Emeritus and Senior Research Scientist in Epidemiology
Dubrow was heavily involved in the educational mission of Yale School of Public Health, as well as in research. For much of his career, his research focused on cancer, HIV, and their interaction, then moved in a new direction to the field of climate change and health, becoming the founding faculty director for an initiative that grew into the Yale Center on Climate Change and Health.

Kaveh Khoshnood
Associate Professor of Epidemiology
Kaveh Khoshnood is an associate professor and director of undergraduate studies at the Yale School of Public Health and executive committee member at Yale Council on Middle East Studies. He is trained as an infectious disease epidemiologist and has more than three decades of domestic and international experience in HIV prevention research among people who use drugs and other at-risk populations. His research interests include epidemiology and prevention of HIV/AIDS, research ethics, and humanitarian health.
LaRon Nelson
Independence Foundation Professor of Nursing
LaRon E. Nelson is the Independence Foundation Professor of Nursing and serves on the Yale Institute of Global Health’s Leadership Advisory Committee. He co-founded the Central and West Africa Implementation Science Alliance (CAWISA)—a collaboration of implementation scientists and implementing agencies aimed at improving HIV-related outcomes among adolescents in the region.
Marcella Nunez-Smith
Associate Dean for Health Equity Research
Marcella Nunez-Smith is the inaugural associate dean for health equity research at the Yale School of Medicine and the C.N.H Long Professor of Internal Medicine, Public Health, and Management. Her research focuses on promoting health and healthcare equity for structurally marginalized populations with an emphasis on centering community engagement, developing patient reported measurements of healthcare quality, and identifying regional strategies to reduce the global burden of non-communicable diseases.
Babatunde Omilola
2022 Yale World Fellow
Babatunde Omilola managed the African Development Bank’s multi-billion-dollar response to the COVID-19 pandemic. A global development leader, he also served as head of development planning with the United Nations Development Programme in New York and led the United Nations Inter-Agency Task Force on the monitoring and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) globally.
Michael Skonieczny
Deputy Director, Yale Institute for Global Health
Michael Skonieczny is deputy director for the Yale Institute for Global Health and a lecturer in public health (health policy). He previously served as director of public policy for Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
