Abdulla AlAbbasi serves as Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor at the Office of the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Kingdom of Bahrain, where he supports national and international climate efforts. With a background in Industrial Engineering and an MBA, his work focuses on advancing science-based, just energy transitions and integrating environmental, technological, and economic considerations into policy.
In addition to his current role, Abdulla brings extensive experience in environmental policy and sustainable energy, having previously served as Director of Plans, Programs and Sustainable Development at the Supreme Council for Environment, where he led the development and execution of national strategies for biodiversity, blue carbon, and climate resilience. He has played a key role in shaping Bahrain's environmental agenda, championing innovation, public-private collaboration, and youth empowerment in sustainability. Abdulla is committed to promoting impactful, evidence-based solutions that drive long-term, systemic change.
