Franco Gamboa-Rocabado

Franco Gamboa Rocabado is Director of Policies and Operations of the National System of Retirement Fund (SENASIR) in Bolivia. He was educated at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA) in La Paz, at Duke University in the United States, and at the London School of Economics and Political Science in England. He has outstanding experience in results-based management for sustainable development, political analysis, strategic planning, and quality management systems (NB/ISO 9001:2015).

He served as a Fulbright professor at Marymount University in Arlington. He is an expert in leadership and public policy evaluation, as well as in the management of scientific research in the Social Sciences. His high-level academic training has enabled him to solve complex problems in public institutions such as Bolivia's Ministry of Government, the Presidency, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

He has also contributed to the work of international organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), UNESCO, and Save the Children. He is currently a prominent columnist and political analyst of Bolivian and Latin American affairs, collaborating with various news agencies in Chile, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, as well as with CNN, Agence France-Presse (AFP), and EFE for Latin America.
