Hang Dao is an accomplished expert on sustainable energy systems and climate resilience, holding a double PhD in Sustainable Energy Systems under the European Erasmus Mundus Doctoral Fellowship in Europe. She has over 15 years of experience leading clean energy, climate mitigation, and adaptation projects across Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and Europe. For more than six years, she has served as a Lead Advisor to New Energy Nexus Vietnam, supporting the building of a dynamic ecosystem for clean energy and climate innovation in the Southeast Asia region. She previously led the Energy Program in Vietnam at the World Resources Institute.

Her work spans multiple industries, including manufacturing, energy infrastructure, the building sector, and climate risk assessment for large-scale infrastructure planning projects. She is actively engaged in entrepreneurship training programs focused on clean energy solutions and collaborates with diverse stakeholders across the public and private sectors, as well as international development organizations. Dao has also been a regular trainer and lecturer in capacity-building initiatives on youth leadership and the energy transition, including with the Women in Energy Network. Dao is recognized for her ability to lead cross-sectoral teams and partnerships, driving innovative and impactful solutions in complex and rapidly evolving environments for energy and climate transition.
