Katrin Eggenberger is a former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Justice, and Culture of Liechtenstein, appointed in 2019 as one of the youngest female ministers globally at the onset of the COVID-19 crisis. She co-authored a joint op-ed with leading foreign ministers that contributed to a UN General Assembly resolution on COVID-19 supported by 188 countries.

Previously, she served as Chief of Staff to Klaus Schwab at the World Economic Forum, managing engagements across more than 25 countries. She led the Community of Chairpersons—an influential network of global business leaders—and played a key role in launching UpLink, a public-private platform developed with partners such as Salesforce, Deloitte, and Microsoft to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

An expert in international political economy, Eggenberger was a visiting researcher at Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center and affiliated with Princeton University’s Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination. She holds a PhD from the University of St. Gallen under Nobel laureate Joseph E. Stiglitz, with research at LSE and Cambridge, and an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School.

Today, she is a founder and board member of ventures in emerging technologies, focusing on digitalization and sustainability. She began her career in finance, holding leadership roles at leading institutions, including one of Switzerland’s oldest financial institutions. Katrin is an Atlantic Council Millennium Fellow and Asian Forum on Global Governance Fellow, with a strong track record at the intersection of policy, finance, and global leadership.
