About
Luana Gaspar heads the Decarbonization department at PSR, a Brazilian energy consulting and software development firm with an international client base, which she joined in 2020. She works with multilateral organizations, governments, and private companies on projects aimed at building energy transition strategies for the industrial and transportation sectors, as well as integrating new technologies, with an emphasis on electrification, hydrogen and other Power-to-X products, biofuels, and carbon capture and storage (CCS). Her work includes market analysis, demand forecasting, economic feasibility assessments, evaluation of certification systems, development of emissions reduction plans, and energy policy design.
Gaspar holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). She was also a member of the Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship at Yale University in 2024.
