Ralph Emmanuel François is a Disaster Risk Resilient Management Specialist, policy strategist and a Seasoned Program Manager with 17 years of experience in disaster resilience management, fundraising, entrepreneurship, creative philanthropy and policy analysis and orientation.
Ralph had a wealth of experience in program management, policy analysis, disaster risk reduction, community advocacy, fundraising, philanthropy strategy, community development and capacity building. His work experience includes serving as CEO and Co-Founder of Cocread, a Haitian social enterprise that focuses on creating self-sustainable communities and improving disaster and climate resilience. As a DRR/ER Program Manager at Cordaid (a Dutch Non Governmental Agency), he had managed 16 disaster preparedness, capacity development, governance, and emergency assistance projects. As a Resilience and Humanitarian Response Manager at the International Organization of Migration (IOM) in Haiti, he had managed capacity development and DRR projects and contributed to the development of the first National Evacuation Guidelines for Haiti. Recently, Ralph joined the board oof Haiti Maritime Foundation, a creative philanthropy organization, headquartered in Canada, which mission to promote and improve sustainable development of Haitian Maritime ecosystem.
Ralph has a general background in Sociology from Université d'Etat d'Haiti, and a Integrated Risk Management, Climate and Technology Program Certificate from Centro Agronomico Tropical de Investigación y Enseñanza (CATIE).
