Simidele Adeagbo is a four-time Olympian, the first Black woman ever to compete in the Skeleton at the Olympic Winter Games, and a globally recognized advocate for sustainability, women's empowerment, and Africa's role in shaping the future. As Africa's first Winter Olympian and the first Black woman athlete to officially endorse the Paris Agreement, Simi has consistently used her platform to push the boundaries of representation, climate justice, and innovation. She is the CEO and founder of S2A Group LLC, a strategic advisory firm dedicated to driving impact across sport, climate action, social change, and brand strategy. Simi is also the co-founder of MILE 12 Productions, a production company committed to creating mission-driven, impactful storytelling that highlights African excellence and underrepresented voices.
A seasoned former Nike executive, Simi spent 13 years at the global sports brand, where she led pioneering business and brand strategy. Her early role in launching Nike's first store on the African continent, in Lagos, Nigeria, helped redefine how a global brand could meaningfully engage with African consumers, culture, and communities.
Simi sits at the heart of global movements for environmental sustainability, women's empowerment, sport, business, and culture. She frequently speaks at international forums including the Olympic and Paralympic Games, FIFA World Cup, and the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP), and her ideas and perspectives are featured prominently in leading publications such as Vogue, Sports Illustrated, GQ, Time, Forbes, ELLE, and Marie Claire.
Simi is the recipient of an Academic All-American honor and was inducted into the University of Kentucky's Athletics Hall of Fame in 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Kentucky and earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. As a Yale World Fellow (2019), Simi continues to expand her global perspective on leadership and impact.
A proud third culture kid, Simi was born in Toronto, Canada, raised in Nigeria, and is currently based in Los Angeles.
