Stephanie Busari is the Founder and CEO of SBB Media, a strategic communications agency headquartered in Lagos and London. With 25 years of international media experience, including nearly two decades at CNN International, she has built a reputation as one of the most authoritative voices in African journalism and global communications.
At CNN, Busari pioneered the network's first digital multi-platform bureau in Nigeria and led coverage of some of the continent's most consequential stories, including the Boko Haram insurgency and the Chibok kidnappings. Her exclusive proof-of-life footage of the abducted Chibok girls remains among the most significant pieces of reporting to emerge from that crisis. Her work has been recognized with Peabody, Emmy, and Gracie Awards. Busari is a TED speaker whose talk on fake news has been translated into multiple languages and adapted into classroom curricula worldwide. She is also a keynote speaker and moderator at major international forums, including global economic summits and leadership conferences.
Through SBB Media, she advises governments, institutions, and corporations across the Global South on narrative strategy and international visibility. She is the author of an anthology titled Her Story, Taking Root and Sparking Change and the founder of Her Story Global, a platform dedicated to elevating African women's stories and leadership.
