Charlie Tran (PC '22) is from Honolulu, Hawaii, and is planning on majoring in Sociology with a concentration in Health and Society. With aspirations in medicine and public/global health, he believes addressing structural violence as it impacts social determinants of health to be crucial in remedying health disparities. These beliefs have translated into engagement in social justice around New Haven, where he volunteers with Food in Service to the Homebound (FISH) and the Hypertension Awareness and Prevention Project at Yale (HAPPY). Around campus, he is involved with the Pierson College Council and works as a Pierson Aide. Outside of school and work, he enjoys trying new restaurants and coffee shops around New Haven, playing video games with friends, and running a food blog.
