Eva Syth (TD ’22) is a Statistics & Data Science major from South-Central Wisconsin. She is currently interested in health policy and health care systems around the world, as well as the political determinants of health in shaping inequities. She hopes to responsibly use a data-driven approach to work on challenges such as making transnational comparisons and measuring preventive program success. During a recent summer, Eva worked with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, specifically with the Medicaid program, and was able to gain a better understanding for the current relationships between the state and managed care organizations. On campus, Eva currently works as a math tutor as well as a math feedback student worker for new instructors. In her free time, you can find her taking a walk or knitting.
