Fiona O’Brien (PC’22) is an Environmental Engineering student from Chicago, IL. At Yale, she is the treasurer of Engineers Without Borders, teaches middle school health with Community Health Educators, and coordinates service opportunities through Dwight Hall. This past summer, Fiona interned at a health tech startup in Chicago that is using smartphone technology to address the challenge of medication adherence in the U.S. Fiona is interested in the intersections between human and environmental health. In the future, she hopes to continue to study environmental health challenges and promote planetary health. When she’s not studying global health, you can probably find Fiona baking vegan cookies in the Pierson Student Kitchen or running in East Rock.
