Gladys Fang (BF’ 20) is a Biomedical Engineering major. Lived in Beijing for the majority of her life and traveled in many East Asian countries before coming to Yale, she is very concerned of the healthcare inequality across different regions. She is particularly interested in how health policy can influence doctor-physician relationship and finding the optimal allocation of medical resources. In Beijing, she has volunteered at Beijing Children’s Hospital, where she become interested in public health issues and experienced many interesting phenomenon and accumulated interesting stories to tell. Outside of her favorite global health classes, she spends her time in a biomedical engineering lab, wondering why her bacteria reproduce so quickly. She also serves as the captain of Yale Badminton Team and prepares pancakes at Sunrise Cafe.
