Heidi Dong (MC '20) is a Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology major from Peoria, Illinois. As a student pursuing a career in medicine, she is particularly interested in the translation of scientific research into patient practices, as well as policies and programs that encourage healthy behaviors. Additionally, she hopes to learn more about how culture and environment play a role in health outcomes and how interventions can be developed to take those factors into account. At Yale, she works as a tour guide, serves as the University Services Policy Director of the Yale College Council, and teaches health workshops in New Haven public schools as a Community Health Educator.
