Megan Briggs (TD '23) hails from Scottville in rural Michigan, where she grew up next to her grandfather's farm. At Yale, Megan is majoring in Global Affairs. She was inspired to pursue global health by the passionate doctors in her family and her belief that health is the greatest avenue through which to change lives. Megan is invested in exploring the intersection of climate change and global health. In particular, she is interested in studying rural economies amidst rapid urbanization and how to build climate and health resilience in urban communities. At Yale, she enjoys working on film projects, writing poetry, and listening to live music, especially in her role as the Events Director of WYBCx Yale Student Radio. In her free time, she hangs out in TD too much and loves to play board games with friends.
