Melissa McGinnis is the assistant director of admissions at Yale’s Jackson School of Global Affairs. In her role, she supports the assistant dean of admissions and the mission of Jackson to bring in talented, passionate, and diverse graduate students from all over the world. Prior to Yale, she worked at the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton for over 20 years, first as a graduate admissions assistant, then as office manager. Before Princeton, she spent a year and a half supporting students and the Electrical Engineering department chairman at the University of Pennsylvania. Melissa has a B.A. in English from The King’s College and an M.Ed. in college student affairs from Azusa Pacific University. She studied abroad in Spain and has volunteered mentoring young adults and youth in South Africa and New Haven.
