Nicole Broida graduated with a B.A. in 2010 from George Washington University’s Elliott School where she majored in international affairs, with a concentration on conflict and security, and minored in history. Originally from San Diego, California, Nicole currently lives in the Washington, D.C. area where she has worked as an analyst for the Department of Defense since 2011. Her work has focused on counterterrorism and security in the Middle East and North Africa, with multiple deployments to the region in joint-interagency roles. While at Yale, Nicole will focus on applied solutions to diplomatic and national security issues, and she plans to resume working as a federal government employee upon returning to Washington, D.C.
