Rory Jacobson is a second-year Master of Environmental Management (MEM) student at the Yale School of Environment (YSE). Prior to YSE, Rory was a Senior Policy Advisor at Carbon 180 where he performed research and analysis on technologies and land management strategies that sequester atmospheric carbon dioxide. During the Summer of 2020 he worked at Natural Resources Defense Council studying and designing near-term federal policy strategies to incentivize the deployment of carbon dioxide removal approaches. Rory has consulted for a number of organizations on carbon dioxide removal, including the New York State EnergyResearch and Development Authority, World Resources Institute, the Energy Futures Initiative, and Carbon Direct. Broadly, he is interested in the research and development of policies for carbon dioxide removal approaches that equitably distribute benefits and costs.
