Ryan Gapski is an undergraduate student in Pierson College majoring in history. Originally from San Diego, he grew up speaking English and Spanish and is currently learning Portuguese. At Yale, he studies political theory, intellectual history, and theology with a focus on liberalism and its critics. Ryan is interested in human flourishing, American institutions, foreign affairs, and conservative politics. He has experience working for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the International Rescue Committee. Last summer, he was a Political Studies Fellow at the Hudson Institute. On campus, he is involved with the Yale Political Union and serves as the president of Yale’s largest student organization, the William F. Buckley, Jr. Program.
