Sasha Thomas (ES ’23) is a Global Affairs major from Dallas, TX. Her interests lie at the intersection of economic development and global health. She wants to look at how economic interventions affect health systems and how these interventions address institutions, norms, and practices that affect distribution and access to health care resources. Sasha is inspired by her current involvement at Innovations for Poverty Action in Ghana where she works on educational, environmental, agricultural, and health-related RCTs and implementation programs, as well as her previous research analyzing the impacts of economic conditions in Paraguay. On campus, Sasha is the Co-Coordinator of Dwight Hall’s Student Executive Committee, a managing editor for The Yale Globalist, and a member of the Yale Glee Club.
