Shan Agrawal is a second-year MBA candidate at the Yale School of Management and is passionate about tackling climate change. This past summer, he interned with BCG in their Toronto office where he worked on supporting a climate venture on creating a new environmental product that would stimulate investments in sustainability initiatives and enable the energy industry to transition faster. Prior to business school, Shan worked at KPMG in India as a Climate Change Consultant and before that, as a Process Engineering Consultant at Carollo Engineers in Chicago. He is passionate about climate change and has engaged in international climate advocacy at the UN by engaging with diplomats and policymakers on issues of climate finance, carbon pricing and community led movements, all from a volunteering capacity standpoint. He has spoken at the UN multiple times as a youth leader and has participated in the annual UN climate change conferences at COP24 in Poland and COP26 in Glasgow as part of the delegation of Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL), an NGO that he has been involved with for a few years now. Shan completed his undergrad in engineering from IIT in India with a master's in environmental engineering from University of Illinois Urbana Champaign in the US. He is also a big NBA fan and loves basketball.
