Shruti Parthasarathy (MC ’24) is a cognitive science major who has been simultaneously pursuing global health studies, a certificate in education studies, and a BS/MPH dual-degree in healthcare management for the past five years, She has been a research intern at the Feinberg School of Medicine, where her research focuses on a psychosocial analysis of interdisciplinary mindfulness practices and its adaptations for specific pediatric populations to help alleviate mental healthcare disparities. At Yale, Shruti has been a research assistant at the Yale School of Medicine for the past two years, investigating the cognitive neuroscience and digital compatibility of mindfulness-based interventions. Through support from Tsai CITY and the Yale School of Public Health, she is passionate in helping address mental health disparities through her healthcare startup Mindful Kala, which aims to empower teens through easily accessible intercultural education, support, and mind-body movement based in Indian classical dance to be happier, healthier, and more resilient beings. She also serves as 2022-23 co-director of Yale Student Mental Health Association, the student representative of Yale College on the Yale Well Committee, and the co-captain of Yale Kalaa.
