Fellows collaborate with U.S. policy-makers on leading-edge research and high-profile publications for a global audience.

Eighteen Yale University students have been named Kerry Fellows for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Part of the Kerry Initiative founded by Special Presidential Envoy for Climate Change and the 68th US Secretary of State John Kerry YC ’66, the Fellows collaborate with U.S. policy-makers on leading-edge research and high-profile publications for a global audience touching on issues from the global environment to democracy and technology.

The students, coming from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, represent Yale College and several of Yale’s graduate and professional schools, including the schools of Management, Environment, Law, Global Affairs.

“This class comes from all different walks of life with complementary experiences, expertise, and perspectives. It will be a class of fellows that has done everything from serving in the military to working in the State Department, from the frontlines of climate change at COP’s to navigating big issues of AI in the private and public sectors, from the lived experience of refugees to those who studied and experienced war-torn Afghanistan,” said David Wade, director of the Kerry Initiative.
