Daniel Arenas

Daniel Arenas is an investment professional with over 10 years of international experience in deal origination, execution, and financing of infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on the energy transition. He is currently based at Atlas Renewables, where he leads business development efforts in Colombia. His expertise spans the full investment lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to securing financing, with a particular emphasis on sustainable energy and transport electrification. 

Previously, Daniel served as executive assistant to the CEO at ENEL Colombia, Colombia's largest utility, and led corporate development for Enel X in Latin America, where he played a pivotal role in advancing the electrification of public transportation. His career includes experience with leading Colombian companies including Grupo Energía Bogotá, Veronorte (a corporate venture capital arm of Grupo Sura and Cementos Argos), and Corficolombiana. These roles enabled him to hone his skills in investment strategy and execution across various infrastructure sectors. 

Daniel holds a degree in industrial engineering from Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, an M.Sc. in management of technology, and a specialization in technology for sustainable development from TU Delft in the Netherlands.
