Hang Dao
Hang Dao is Co-lead at the Vietnam Clean Energy Investment Accelerator (CEIA), an innovative public-private partnership jointly led by the World Resources Institute, the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Allotrope Partners. Her work addresses barriers to unlock clean energy investment across commercial and industrial sectors and accelerates public and private investment across emerging markets, including Southeast Asia and Latin America. With CEIA, she works with a wide range of global and domestic companies to support their supply chain in Vietnam to implement clean energy solutions in order to meet the companies’ climate obligation and commitment in emission reduction. Hang also facilitates dialogues among national and regional stakeholders, including market players and policy makers for the energy transition.Â
Holding a Double PhD on Sustainable Energy Systems and Technologies from University of Lisbon, Portugal and Aalto University, Finland, her past research focused on Net-zero Energy buildings. Her recent works have expanded to opportunities in energy transition for the global supply chain manufacturing in Southeast Asia and the challenges of the region to both ensure energy security and to meet its climate ambition.
