John Lee

John Lee is General Manager of Envision Energy Asia & Africa Markets, one of the world’s leading carbon neutral solution providers. There he spearheads the company’s products and solutions sales in Asia and Africa markets, including wind turbines generators, battery storage, and hydrogen production solutions. Since 2016 John has helped lead Envision’s remarkable growth in emerging markets, with more than 6GW in new wind turbine orders and the leading market shares in markets across Vietnam, Laos, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Saudi Arabia. John has also helped Envision develop its green field projects in Asia, including a 1.23GW projects pipeline in Vietnam and the first two wind power PPAs in Bangladesh. By working with many regulators, developers, investors, and subcontractors in renewable industry in different countries, John has developed a deep understanding of the renewable energy markets in the region.

Before joining Envision in 2016, John Lee was the CEO of ZTE 'sSri Lanka and Bangladesh subsidiaries, with 10 years international marketing experience in the telecom industry. He was responsible for the ZTE subsidiaries’ end-to-end operations and shifted the subsidiaries’ net profit from negative to positive in one year. During that time, John helped deliver 4G network and optical fiber (FTTH) networks  in Sri Lanka and the first National Data Center in Bangladesh.
