
Juliana Vélez Duque
Juliana Vélez Duque is an architect with experience in urban planning and design, consulting, and international cooperation. She is currently the senior manager of inclusive climate action and communications for Latin America at C40 Cities, a global network of nearly 100 mayors working together to address the climate crisis. Juliana is also a contributing author for the ARC3.3 report of the Urban Climate Change Research Network at Columbia University, focusing on architecture and urban planning, specifically on climate and environmental justice.
Juliana holds a master’s degree in project management from EAFIT University and a master’s degree in climate and society from Columbia University, where she was a Fulbright Scholar. Juliana has worked with public and private sector institutions, advising on urban and environmental planning, as well as resilient and low-carbon development.
