Rafael Pástor

Rafael Pástor is the founding partner of Pástor Estudio Jurídico Ambiental, a law firm that has been fostering a culture of environmental responsibility within businesses and promoting and implementing robust environmental practices that align with Ecuador’s regulations. Through due diligence and compliance expertise, Rafael’s teams transform companies to become more environmentally responsible. Prior to the creation of his firm, he was a partner in several prestigious law firms in Ecuador where he was responsible for directing their compliance and environment departments. He has participated in energy and ecological transition projects, implementations of new technologies for industrial production processes, bioconversion, and circular economy schemes. 

He is also a co-founder of ALLPA LABS, a technology company that designs environmental software. Its first development, AllpaOne, is a cloud-based software-as-a-service tool for collaboration, due diligence, management, and reporting of their sustainability initiatives and obligations.

Rafael is currently an Officer of the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA), and Vice Chair of the International Law Committee of the American Bar Association (ABA). In Ecuador, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Sustainable Environmental Investment Fund (FIAS) and of its Investment Committee. He is a member of the Environment Law Institute (ELI) and the World Compliance Association (WCA).
