
Somboon Lertsuwannaroj
Somboon Lertsuwannaroj is the CEO at Altervim, the premier renewable energy company within CP Group, Thailand’s largest private company. He is responsible for leading CP Group's energy transition and its supply chain operations across 22 countries globally, with the objective of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 and net zero emissions by 2050.
His journey began during his engineering school years, inspired by his participation in a volunteer camp with the aspiration to provide "power to all the people." Since 2008, he has been actively engaged in developing renewable energy and energy transition infrastructure across Thailand and the Asia Pacific region.
His extensive experience encompasses pioneering large-scale solar projects in Thailand, implementing corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) solutions in Southeast Asia, spearheading renewable energy projects in Japan, and advancing digital energy solutions and energy efficiency initiatives for manufacturing and buildings. His efforts have contributed to a cumulative development exceeding 3 GW and a total investment surpassing $2 billion.
