Tao Lan
Tao Lan is the founder and chief executive officer of Green Inclusive Science and Technology, a company using digital technology to drive carbon reduction and promote inclusive decarbonization. Her company's innovative digital platform, which tracks and rewards carbon reduction efforts, has inspired more than 100 million users to reduce more than 2 million tons of CO2 emissions.
Her work has been published in prestigious journals. She has also made significant contributions to report publication and standard setting, including a series of annual reports on individual behavior change and inclusive decarbonization. Additionally, she has contributed to the formulation of several national, local and group standards, providing actionable guidelines for personal carbon footprint reduction.
She is a Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center resident, Eisenhower Global Fellow, and WE Empower UN SDG Challenge finalist. At international forums such as COP27, COP28, AVPN conference and UNEP big data Conference, she shared her insights on inclusive decarbonization. Her vision is to make green, low-carbon living a universal lifestyle, and she has been instrumental in raising global awareness about the importance of consumer-end carbon reduction. She aims to establish a global inclusive decarbonization mechanism where individual emission reductions could be traded worldwide.
