MPP Admissions

The world is changing. What will you make of it?

Introduce yourself

MPP students pay $0 tuition.

Every MPP student's tuition is fully covered through a Jackson tuition fellowship, external funding, or a combination of both. The reason is simple and goes back to the mission. We want you to serve the greatest impact, regardless of sector or industry and without concern for salary.

Yale Jackson is a community of scholars, students, practitioners, alumni, and staff committed to making a difference in all fields of global affairs. We bring to Yale talented students from all over the world, dedicated to making the world a better place. We prepare students to understand the world through academically rigorous programs taught by faculty who are leaders in their fields and practitioners who have frontline experience addressing global challenges.

What do we look for?

When asked why they chose Yale, many students begin with, "I didn't think I'd get in." We want to change that narrative by telling you exactly what we're looking for... and hopefully that answer is You!

We look for three things:

Financial aid

Every MPP student's tuition is fully covered through a Jackson tuition fellowship, external funding, or a combination of both. Yale Jackson is committed to making the program accessible to students from any background. No additional application is required.

In addition to tuition scholarships, MPP students are eligible for a stipend to assist with housing, transportation, health fees, and other living costs. Between being admitted and enrolling, candidates may appeal for a stipend by completing a short form and talking with the Admissions Office.  All requests will receive an email response before the enrollment deadline. Stipends also do not carry across deferrals, and anyone granted a deferral must reapply for a stipend after the deferral period.
