Asha Rangappa is a former FBI special agent and national security expert who specialized in counterintelligence investigations in the FBI's New York Division.
Her work focused on identifying foreign intelligence threats, conducting classified investigations, and carrying out undercover operations to protect U.S. national security. Following her government service, Rangappa has become a leading commentator on law, intelligence, and national security, writing for publications including The New York Times and The Atlantic and providing analysis for CNN, ABC News, and other major networks. She is the author of the bestselling Substack The Freedom Academy and is writing UNCOMPROMISED: Activating Your Moral Compass in an Age of Complicity, to be published by Bloomsbury in 2028.
Rangappa is admitted to the bars of New York and Connecticut, serves on the board of editors of Just Security, and is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
