Beth Goldberg is the inaugural Executive Director of Humanity AI where she oversees strategy and grantmaking for a $500M philanthropic coalition building a future with AI shaped by and for people. She previously served as Head of R&D at Jigsaw, Google's social impact incubator advancing human agency with open-source technologies. She led interdisciplinary research and product design countering disinformation, cyberattacks, and harassment. She pioneered "prebunking" methods at scale, building more than 250 million people's resilience to manipulation online.
Her public interest technology career began in civil society with Article 19, Freedom House, Amnesty International, and Namati. Goldberg served on a National Academy of Sciences committee countering disinformation, and her research has appeared in Science, Nature, and outlets including The New York Times and TIME. She holds graduate degrees from Yale and a bachelor's from Georgetown.
