About

Fernando Bizzarro focuses his research on comparative politics and political economy, exploring the nature, causes, and consequences of democracy and political parties, with a substantive focus on Latin America. He is currently on leave from Boston College, where he is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science. Bizzarro returns to the Yale Jackson School, where he was a postdoctoral associate with the Leitner Program in Effective Democratic Governance during the 2023-2024 academic year.
