About
Jessica Seddon studies environmental governance, particularly how new data sources, technologies, and analytical tools can enable more sustainable ways of interacting with the environment. Her career spans academic, program leadership, and strategic advisory roles in India and the U.S., centered on institutional design for integrating science into policy; she co-founded The Institutional Architecture Lab, is a Fellow with the African Tech Futures Lab, and serves on the academic council of the Indian School of Public Policy. Her recent work focuses on atmospheric governance — climate change, air quality, and climate intervention — including building and leading the World Resources Institute's global air quality program, co-chairing a World Meteorological Organization air quality forecasting initiative, and co-chairing the Oversight Committee for ARIA's Exploring Climate Cooling Program. Earlier, she co-founded Okapi, an India-based institutional design strategy group. She has published widely, including in the Journal of Development Economics, Foreign Affairs, and Harvard Business Review.
