About

Lorenzo Caliendo is Professor of Global Affairs and Management and Professor of Economics at Yale University, holding joint appointments at the Yale School of Management and the Jackson School of Global Affairs, with a courtesy appointment in the Department of Economics. He is also a Faculty Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), a Research Staff member at the Cowles Foundation for Research in Economics, and serves as Associate Editor of Econometrica, the Journal of International Economics, and the Journal of the European Economic Association. His research focuses on international trade, examining how trade and migration policies affect economic welfare, how global competition shapes firms' organization and wages, and how sectoral and regional linkages influence aggregate economic activity. His work has been published in leading economics journals, including Econometrica, the Journal of Political Economy, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, and the Review of Economic Studies. He earned his PhD from the University of Chicago.
