About

Marnix Amand teaches courses in macroeconomics and on the economics of European Union, including the recent crises. His current research is on international trade and the determinants of the firm size distribution.

Before joining Yale, Amand was an assistant professor of economics at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland; before that, he worked in various policy positions at the Dutch Central Bank, the Dutch Finance Ministry and France Stratégie, the French prime minister’s public policy think tank. Amand holds dual Dutch and Belgian citizenship.
