Peter Buisseret focuses his research on applied formal theory and political economy, particularly how political institutions shape individual and collective decisions across a range of electoral and legislative contexts. His work falls into three broad themes: electoral competition, accountability and representation, and dynamic policymaking.
Buisseret joined the Yale Jackson School in 2026, previously serving on the faculty at Harvard University and the University of Chicago. He also served as a Starr Foundation National Fellow with the Hoover Institution in 2023-2024.
