Julian Barazi grew up in Switzerland and Austria before studying law at King’s College London and Columbia Law School. He started his career practicing law with a major U.S. law firm, working on M&A and capital market transactions. He went on to originate and manage private equity transactions in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, as well as creating and advising several startups. Julian has also run charitable projects in developing countries to improve access to healthcare and education for local communities. At Yale, he intends to study the historical, political, financial and legal factors affecting world order as well as the role of unconventional actors in diplomacy and conflict resolution.
