Ray Wipfli (Branford Class of 2025) is a Statistics and Data Science major on the pre-med track. He became involved in global health at a young age, a consequence of his mother's career as a global health professor at the University of Southern California. In 2014, he founded a Uganda based non-profit; Energy in Action. In almost a decade since its founding, Energy in Action has provided public health education to thousands of Ugandan youth on subjects including sanitation and hygiene, sexual and reproductive health, vector control, and mental health. Ray is committed to fostering equitable global health partnerships and collaborations. Aside from global health, Ray is a member of the Yale Swimming and Diving Team, and of the Yale Unorthojocks a cappella group.
