Undergraduate Summer

The Jackson School provides fellowships for student projects including internships and independent research projects.

Learn more about two of our summer fellowship opportunities.

Les Aspin '60 International Public Service Fellowships

Established by the Yale College Class of 1960 to honor the memory of their classmate, Les Aspin, a former member of Congress and United States Secretary of Defense. The fund supports Yale College undergraduates in summer internships related to the study of national security and international affairs, in the public or nonprofit private sector. The internships may be with a US government agency or a nonprofit corporation or non-governmental organization. Preference is given to applicants whose studies, extracurricular activities and personal qualifications indicate readiness to take full advantage of proposed fellowship experiences and a potential for professional and public service leadership.

Leitner International Research and Internship Fellowship

The Jackson School for Global Affairs invites applications for the Leitner International Research and Internship Fellowship. The fellowship provides support to undergraduate students undertaking a project contributing to an understanding of international affairs. A project may be an independent research project, an internship, or formal study/coursework.
