Anders Fridén, a native of Sweden, is a graduate of the University of Oxford, where he studied history and Persian. Prior to coming to Yale, Anders trained as a military interpreter and volunteered to serve as an intelligence analyst in Afghanistan. He later began working for the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and served as a diplomat at postings in Iran, Colombia and Afghanistan. At Yale, Anders' academic focus has been on security policy, quantitative methods and history. After graduation, he will join the Swedish Embassy in Kabul.
