Description:
Join the Schmidt Program for a talk by Andrew Selbst, Professor of Law at UCLA School of Law, and currently the William J. Friedman and Alicia Townsend Friedman Visiting Professor of Law at Harvard Law School.
Over the last several years, his research has focused on the effects of machine learning and artificial intelligence on varied legal regimes, including discrimination, policing, credit regulation, data protection, and tort law. His publications have become part of the basic curriculum on fairness and machine learning. He is working on an Artificial Intelligence Law casebook (with Margot Kaminski and Paul Ohm).
Selbst will discuss his work in progress “Artificial Intelligence and the Discrimination Injury.” This event is open to the Yale community. Seating is limited. Please register in advance.
