Description:
Baroness Theresa May, the second female prime minister of the United Kingdom and the first Blue Center Senior Fellow at the Jackson School of Global Affairs, will deliver a keynote address on the complex dynamics that are reshaping democratic governance in the modern world. The polarization of politics, the rise of populism, the increasing distrust of institutions, and shifting global power dynamics, are all exerting significant pressure on liberal democratic systems. Baroness May will consider these trends and what they mean for self-government going forward.
Her address will be followed by a fireside chat with Rory Stewart, Professor in the Practice of Grand Strategy.
