Description:

The Jackson School of Global Affairs will host a conversation with Matthew Klein, titled “Global Imbalances, Local Inequality, and the Return of Economic Nationalism: Implications for the 2020s.” The conversation will be moderated by Marnix Amand, senior lecturer in economics.

Klein is the founder and publisher of The Overshoot, a subscription research service focusing on the global economy, financial markets, and public policy. He is also the author, with Michael Pettis, of “Trade Wars Are Class Wars: How Rising Inequality Distorts the Global Economy and Threatens International Peace,” which won the Lionel Gelber Prize and was listed as one of the best books of the year by the Financial Times. He was previously the economics commentator at Barron’s.

This event is open to the Yale community. Registration is required.
